Psychologists and Mental Health Social Workers

Our Psychologists and Mental Health Social Workers hold formal qualifications and work in accordance with professional ethical codes. They embrace the Christian worldview and work with people from all walks of life.

Clients seeing a Psychologist or Mental Health Social Worker can receive a Medicare rebate if they have a GP referral and a Mental Health Treatment Plan.

If a client does not have a Treatment Plan, sessions can be paid for privately and no referral is required. Many private health funds provide cover for psychological services. It is recommended that clients check with their private health fund to determine what services are included in their policy.

Psychologists and Mental Health Social Workers can also see clients under TAC, WorkCover and NDIS (for NDIS clients, they must be self-managed or plan-managed).

In addition to English, we have practitioners who speak Mandarin, Cantonese and Tamil. Please click on an individual practitioner below for more information.

Play Therapy

Play Therapy provides a way for children to express their feelings and work through what is troubling them. Play is a child’s natural medium of self-expression and learning.

Our child-centred approach nurtures the child’s innate potential and encourages their unique development and emotional growth. Play Therapy works best with children aged 2 to 10 years. Usually the parent/guardian, without the child, is seen for the initial intake and assessment appointment. The process and number of recommended sessions for the child’s play therapy will be discussed at that time.
