Nathaniel is currently completing a Master of Counselling at Monash and holds a Master of Clinical Psychology, which he completed in India. He completed his initial training and worked as a junior psychologist at Christian Medical College and Hospital.
Nathaniel enjoys hearing people’s stories, helping them make meaning of their experiences, and supporting growth and change in the lives of those he works with. His desire is to continue developing as a counsellor so he can walk alongside individuals and families facing life’s challenges with compassion and care.
In his previous work, Nathaniel supported children with special needs, helping identify their strengths while working closely with their families. Through this experience, he developed a strong passion for counselling and supporting people through difficult seasons of life. He has a particular interest in supporting men, shaped in part by his own experiences of loneliness and the importance of meaningful support and connection.
Nathaniel can see adolescents and adults, and will be at LifeCare on Mondays (10:00 – 5:00), Tuesdays (3:00 – 9:00) and Thursday (3:00 – 9:00). Nathaniel speaks English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and some Bangla.
Sessions with a student counsellor are significantly reduced to $20 per session.
